What does the MOD LIGHTING 2-Year Extended Warranty cover?

The MOD LIGHTING 2-Year Extended Warranty extends the coverage of our standard 1-Year Limited Warranty. It covers defects in materials and workmanship for a total period of two years from the date of purchase. This warranty is applicable to MOD LIGHTING products purchased directly from authorized dealers or the official MOD LIGHTING website.

How can I obtain the 2-Year Extended Warranty?

The 2-Year Extended Warranty is available for purchase at the time of your initial product purchase. Simply select the extended warranty option during the checkout process on the MOD LIGHTING website.

How many warranties do I need to purchase? 

If you are purchasing multiple lights you will need to purchase a warranty for each light. 

What is not covered by the extended warranty?

Similar to the standard warranty, the extended warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by misuse, mishandling, abuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, normal wear and tear, or any other conditions not arising from defects in materials or workmanship.

Do I need to register the 2-Year Extended Warranty separately?

No, the 2-Year Extended Warranty is automatically registered at the time of purchase. However, we recommend keeping your proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, as it will be required for warranty claims.

Can I add the 2-Year Extended Warranty to a product after the initial purchase?

Yes, you can still add the 2-Year Extended Warranty 15 days after the initial purchase. You can contact our Customer Service Team to help you with this.

How do I initiate a warranty claim under the 2-Year Extended Warranty?

To initiate a warranty claim, contact MOD LIGHTING's Customer Service at [email protected]. Provide your proof of purchase, a detailed description of the issue, and any relevant photographs or videos. Our customer service team will guide you through the process.

Can I return a product under the extended warranty to the place of purchase?

No, warranty claims, including those under the 2-Year Extended Warranty, must be processed through MOD LIGHTING directly. Contact our Customer Service team, and they will assist you in resolving the issue.

What will MOD LIGHTING do if my product is under the 2-Year Extended Warranty and needs repair or replacement?

MOD LIGHTING will, at its discretion, either repair by issuing replacement parts or replace the defective product entirely. MOD LIGHTING will not be responsible for covering any costs that result from replacing or repairing the product, if applicable. If the product is no longer available, MOD LIGHTING reserves the right to replace it with a similar product of equal or greater value.

Are shipping costs covered under the 2-Year Extended Warranty?

Customers are responsible for shipping products to MOD LIGHTING for warranty service. However, MOD LIGHTING will cover the cost of returning the repaired or replaced product to the customer if applicable. 

Can the 2-Year Extended Warranty be transferred to a new owner?

No, the 2-Year Extended Warranty, like the standard warranty, is non-transferable and is only applicable to the original purchaser.

How many repairs does the warranty cover?

Please note that you can only exercise this warranty once. If a full replacement has been issued to you within the timeframe, we have fulfilled the obligation.
